ADMINISTRATION

What We Do
The City Manager acts as the chief executive officer of the City.  She manages all aspects of the administrative functions of the City.  The City Manager shall have the power to execute and enforce all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations are observed.  She will carry out all the policies and programs established by the City Council.  The Manager will also appoint, with the advice and consent of the Council, department heads, commissioners, board members and committee members.

ANIMAL SERVICES

What We Do
Holladay City has a contractual agreement with Salt Lake County Animal Control Services to deliver comprehensive animal control services. This partnership entails cooperation with the largest no-kill shelter in the State of Utah, which operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and encompasses a fully equipped veterinary clinic dedicated to the well-being of animals

BUSINESS LICENSING

What We Do
The City of Holladay requires a valid business license be held by anyone conducting business in Holladay City limits. "Business" means and includes every craft, trade, occupation, profession, or activity pursued for gain or profit. Non-profit, charitable, governmental and insurance agencies are also required to obtain a business license, although they may be exempt from license fees.

CITY RECORDER

he City Recorder plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of local government by maintaining accurate records, overseeing elections, facilitating transparent communication with the public, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

What We Do
The Community and Economic Development Department oversees the City's growth and development in a way that enhances the City's economic prosperity, provides services for building and safety inspection, business licensing, code compliance, and processes building applications. Staff coordinate closely with developers, citizens, and other divisions and agencies when reviewing and approving projects and other submittals.

ELECTIONS

What We Do
General city council municipal elections are held the first Tuesday in November of each odd-numbered year, with two council seats up at each election. Council members are elected for four-year terms, and the mayor is elected at large for a four-year term.

The Finance Department oversees the daily financial activities of the city and provides financial management and oversight in support of all city functions while adhering to the principles of leadership, customer service, quality, integrity, and collaboration.The Finance department utilizes best practices and industry standards to provide accountable, transparent, and prudent fiscal stewardship.,

Unified Fire Authority

What We Do
Unified Fire Authority provides Fire Service for the City of Holladay.  In addition to fire and paramedic services, UFA also works closely with Community Development staff to ensure new development meets minimum safety standards.

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING

What We Do
The mission of Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District is to provide sustainable integrated waste and recycling collection services for the health and safety of our community… because not everything fits in the can.  A sustainable, integrated organization that provides for the welfare of our community.

JUSTICE COURT

What We Do
To provide the highest level of judicial service to the citizens of the County and the other levels of the Court at the lowest cost and in the most expeditious manner.  The Holladay Municipal Justice Court has jurisdiction to hear all Class "B" and Class "C" misdemeanors and Infractions occurring within the boundaries of the City of Holladay and by interlocal agreement within the boundaries of Cottonwood Heights City and Millcreek. The Court also hears small claims matters arising in Holladay, Cottonwood Heights and Millcreek.  The jurisdictional limit for small claims is $15,000.

Unified Police Department

What We Do
UPD contracts with the City of Holladay to provide all of its police services. We take great pride in serving the residents of Holladay.  The Sheriff's Office, and now the Unified Police Department (UPD), has provided law enforcement services to this community for more than 160 years, both as an unincorporated area and as an incorporated city since 1999.  Holladay City officials and members of the Holladay Precinct enjoy an excellent working relationship.

The Public Works Department provides essential core services, including construction and maintenance of infrastructure, solid waste management, and fleet management to Holladay citizens and visitors in an efficient, safe, and environmentally and fiscally responsible manner.
